In Livingstone!

This giraffe watched over us as we waited at the gate in Johannesburg.

It took a while, but we are here at Jolly Boys, showered, and relaxing by the pool. The girls are sunning themselves like lizards on the rocks by the pool, doing a lot of debriefing from their tough fall semester. As a non-nursing person, I am continually impressed by the level of commitment these students have to have to get through the rigorous Messiah program. It's no surprise that they are already bonded-- the next few weeks will only serve to strengthen that bond and deepen friendships.

Katie says to tell mom she loves here.
(actually now they are all laughing and saying that all the parents will want to hear that-- so here's a big hug from zambia!!!)
Oh, and they hope it's snowing where you are!!

  1. So comforting and encouraging to hear that all is well! Speaking for myself, it seemed like a long wait for news....but must have felt like an eternity for those stuck at airports and in airplanes!
Envious of sunning poolside; it's frigid here!
Have a great trip to Macha tomorrow, Ladies!
