My name is Susan and I'll be traveling with the nursing students to Macha, Zambia, in just a few days. I spent a few weeks there in the summer of 2006 with a youth mission team. We painted classrooms at the school, and did some ministry with the children there. We left behind reminders of our visit--clean, fresh walls, and words of encouragement. But I'm sure we brought home more than we left. We were all changed by the beauty of the people of Zambia.
It makes my heart glad to be able to return to this part of Africa where God showed me so many wonderful things. The experiences of this trip will give us more than memories-- they will change us, become part of who we are.
